Top 6 Must-Have RV Accessories

RVing is a blast. But, to make it so, there are some accessories that you must have to make your life easier on your adventure. At Meridian RV, we can help you find the right RV gear tailored to your specific needs. You can find us either in Port Coquitlam or 100 Mile House, British Columbia. We also serve Vancouver and Kamloops.

1. Surge Protector

A quality Energy Management System (EMS) is a must-have in an RV. It protects all your electronics and the entire electrical system from power surges. Furthermore, it also actively turns off your RV’s electricity current when something is not right.

2. Water Hose

You can’t do without water on an RV trip; therefore, you need a means to conveniently get enough water to your tank from the campgrounds or RV parks. It would be better if you had two 30 inch hoses of different colors. One will be to fill the freshwater tank, while the other you could use outside the RV so you don’t have to walk in and out of the camper when you need water.

3. Water Pressure Regulator

The water pressure at campgrounds or RV parks can be a little too high for some RVs. So to avoid the risk of blowing out your entire RV water system, install a water pressure regulator at the inlet or spigot end. It works by reducing the water pressure to a safe level suitable for your RV.

4. Inline Water Filter

The water filter ensures that you are always drinking safe, clean, and nice-tasting water on your trip. It keeps out heavy chemicals, chlorine, debris, dirt, and other harmful chemicals from getting into your tank.

5. RV Sewer Hose

A sewer hose makes dumping wastes from your RV quick, easy and convenient. The ideal length of a sewer hose is 15 feet because it fits well inside most RV trailer compartments.

6. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System

There is nothing as unfortunate as having a tire blow out when enjoying your trip. It poses a risk to the fragile items you have in your RV. A tire pressure monitoring system displays pressure-related information, temperature, and other key statistics about your tires on a digital display on your dashboard. This helps you tackle any issues before they cause a problem.

The above accessories are must-haves no matter what kind of adventure you are going on. There are other accessories that you may need that are not mentioned in this list.
