Cleaning Your RV’s Interior

Your RV’s interior can get messy after taking road trip after road trip. But no need to worry! We’ve compiled some basic tips for cleaning the inside of your camper. Read on to learn more valuable information, and call Meridian RV if you want to see some RVs for sale. Supplies

The first thing you’ll need to do before cleaning your camper is gathering the proper supplies. Since the interior is compact, you’ll want to consolidate your supplies. Some general cleaning supplies that come in handy include lemon juice, vinegar, and baking soda. These are all cheap and effective. You want to avoid using any harsh chemicals in a tight space. Dish soap may also be useful, as well as sponges and microfiber wipes.

Bathroom

The bathroom is one space that you’ll definitely want to spend some time cleaning. There’s a lot of bacteria floating around, so you’ll need to focus on sanitizing. Cleaning the toilet can be challenging. We recommend using disposable paper towels instead of a toilet brush. Fill the bowl with water and then the cleaner. Next, use the paper towels to scrub every inch of the bowl. Then, flush and fill the toilet and flush it again a couple times to ensure the soap and disinfectant are gone.

Kitchen

Wipe down all of the surfaces in your camper daily, especially after cooking a meal. You want to avoid grease buildup. If you do have build up, clean the stove by making a paste out of baking soda and water and let it sit overnight on the surface. In the morning, wipe and rinse off the paste. We also suggest cleaning out your fridge regularly so no expired or rotting food stink up the interior of your rig.

Bedroom

Over time, your mattress can become dirty and odorous, so you’ll need to freshen it up. Sprinkle some baking soda over the surface, let it sit, then vacuum it up. You may choose to add spritzes of lavender or other essential oils mixed with water to create a pleasant scent. Make sure to wash your pillows and sheets regularly too!

Living Room

One more part of the interior you’ll want to clean is the living room. Dust all of the surfaces weekley and encourage all of your travelers to reduce clutter by putting away their belongings after using them.

We hope this guide helps you keep the interior of your RV clean!
